Iqbal I. Atcha earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology for Loyola University in Chicago, IL in May 1993. He then went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Pharmacy from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Pharmacy in Downers Grove, IL in January 1999. Dr. Atcha earned his final degree, a Masters in Business Administration from Kennedy-Western University, Online Campus in February 2006. Currently, Atcha is a Regional Talent Specialist and Professional Campus Relations Manager working out of Bentonville, AK for Wal-mart Stores, Inc.
Over the years Atcha has held a variety of positions in the areas of academia, community pharmacy, and managed care. Some of the more noteworthy include Pharmacy Manager/Owner of Edgewater Pharmacy and Atcha Care Pharmacy, both located in the Chicagoland area. From 2000-2003 Atcha worked as the CEO and Director of Public Relations for MRXI Corporation. At MRXI he was involved in the creation of a training program for future employees, teaching institutions and pharmacy organizations. From 2001-2007 Atcha served as a consultant and professional speaker for IMIRx Inc. During that time he was also named as president. IMIRx provides consulting services to pharmacy institutions, organizations and health care systems in order to improve business workflow and increase profit.
Some of Atcha’s awards and achievements include the Alan H. Granat Memorial Award in 2003 and the Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year in 2001, both from the Illinois Pharmacists Association. He has given over twenty-five speeches or presentations and has had multiple articles published in a variety of pharmacy publications. Iqbal Atcha has shown entrepreneurial leadership through his many outstanding positions and endeavors. He is a current member of the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA) and the American Pharmaceutical Association (APhA) and serves on the DELTA Rx Institute Advisory Board for Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Science. |
