Delta Rx Institute:
Rachel Baier, PharmD Candidate and Student Innovator

by DELTARx

Rachel Baier is a P2 student (second professional year) at Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and a member of the DELTA Rx team. She chose to go into pharmacy because of her interest in the medical field and desire to help others through administering pharmaceutical care. Rachel is involved in pharmacy organizations including Drake Pharmacy (Rx) Unified Group of Students (DRxUGS) and APhA-ASP, and also serves on the Pharmacy and Health Sciences Day Committee for the College. While uncertain of the direction her career will take after school, Rachel realizes that innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit are vital pieces in furthering the pharmacy profession, and pharmacy school is the ideal time to develop these traits.
