Brad Tice, Academic Innovator

Dr. Brad Tice is the Chief Clinical Officer of PharmMD Solutions in Brentwood, TN.  He is a former Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and the Director of Corporate Partnerships for Osco/Albertson’s pharmacy. One of Dr. Tice's major entrepreneurial accomplishments involved the start-up of a pharmacy-related software company, RXInterventions, LLC.  He has also attended  "The Experiential Classroom" with leading entrepreneurship educator Michael Morris, and he participated in the Wharton/GlaxoSmithKline/APhA Executive Management Program for Pharmacy Leaders.  Dr. Tice was recognized with the 2005 Albert B. Prescott/GlaxoSmithKline Leadership Award and the 2002 Iowa Pharmacy Outstanding Young Pharmacist Award. 

 

Dr. Tice’s experiences with RXInterventions have developed his entrepreneurial skills regarding new company startup, financing, incubator partnering, and intellectual property protection.  In addition, his work at Drake University and Albertsons/Osco helped to develop his skills regarding corporate entrepreneurship and practice/service development, including pharmacy care services and medication therapy management services. Throughout his career, Dr. Tice has given several presentations to students and pharmacists on “Entrepreneurial Leadership” and its application to the advancement of the pharmacy profession.
