Entrepreneurial Leadership Internship Document Repository

by DELTARx

This past summer The DELTA Rx Institute began an Entrepreneurial Leadership Internship Program. The program allowed for three students to work in independent pharmacies to due support by Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Co. and McKesson Corp. Four students also worked in various chain pharmacy stores as a part of a program funded by a grant from the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS).

Interns spent the summer working on projects assigned by their mentors and completing the Shaping Your Pharmacy Future program located on the DELTA Rx website. These activities were geared towards accomplishing the program’s objectives:

1)      Involve students in a program that will allow them to witness and develop entrepreneurial leadership in the community pharmacy sector.

2)      Prepare student pharmacists for future entrepreneurial leadership positions within the community practice environment.

3)      Provide participating community pharmacies with exposure to and opportunity for potential recruitment of emerging entrepreneurs.

This toolkit contains materials that are essential to The DELTA Rx Institute Entrepreneurial Leadership Internship. Documents are geared towards informing potential partners and student interns about the logistics of the program. Also included are presentation materials prepared by previous summer interns.
